In 2006, Prior Lake Baptist Church began a church plant in Jordan with a group of its members under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Lowe. For eight years, Sand Creek Baptist Church met in various locations as it grew in size. In 2014, God called Pastor Lowe on to another ministry, and the church began a search for a new pastor. During this transition period of two years, the size of the church began to shrink, and the church switched locations from the elementary school gym to what had previously been the Tree of Life Church building in downtown Jordan. In 2016, after two years of patient searching, the church voted in Pastor Caleb Boston and Assistant Pastor Michael Stephansen. In December of 2017, the church switched locations to what had previously been the Immanuel United Methodist Church building.
Our prayer is that Sand Creek Baptist Church continues to grow as a Bible-focused, Christ-honoring, praying, giving, missions-minded church where diligently prepared expository sermons, doctrinally-rich biblical teaching, and purposeful, reverently joyful worship distinguish her gatherings. We also strive to have a pastoral ministry which is driven by a shepherding philosophy and a discipleship orientation. God has already been using these passions as a means of bringing new members and making new contacts in the community.
Our goal is to construct our own building on a parcel of land which the Lord
has enabled us to own on Highway 21 just outside of the downtown area as soon
as He enables us to do so.
Will you join us as we seek to further the kingdom of God here in Jordan?
